Turbocharger hoses are used in Automobiles to withstand exhaust gases, corrosive oils & elevated temperatures under the hood. The construction of a turbo charger hose is determined depending upon the service conditions of the hose.

Materials
Turbo charger hoses are made from SILICONE rubber and if there are highly corrosive oils, coolants or vapors in contact, an inner lining of 0.5mm thickness of Fluorosilicone rubber is recommended.

Reinforcement
The reinforcing fabric is usually polyester. However if the temperature and pressure requirement is high, aramid fabrics such as NOMEX^® or KEVLAR^® are used.
